FAQ
About Torii
What is Torii?
Torii is a WordPress membership system built to connect your site to HighLevel (and, through connectors, other CRMs). It's a new generation of product, reimagined using ten-plus years of lessons from running membership sites at scale. The Torii gate on the home page is the whole idea in one image: the gate decides who gets in; you decide what's worth getting into.
Is Torii available now?
Yes. The beta program ran through the end of 2025 and the product is available today. Documentation on this site tracks the current release.
How is Torii different from Memberium for Keap and ActiveCampaign?
The big architectural change is reimagining the membership system as a peer to your CRM. In the Keap and ActiveCampaign editions, every tag and field lived in the CRM and the site was deeply enmeshed in the CRM data structures at a low level. In Torii, tags and fields live on your WordPress install and map to the CRM only when you want them to, which cuts API traffic, keeps your CRM from filling up with site-internal bookkeeping, and makes the CRM a swappable connection instead of a load-bearing wall. User Tags explains the mechanics.
Does Torii work with HighLevel sites or with WordPress?
With WordPress. Torii is a WordPress plugin: your site, your theme, your hosting. It doesn't run on HighLevel's built-in website builder. HighLevel stays what it's good at, the CRM and automation brain, while Torii handles access and the member experience on the WordPress side.
Can I migrate from Memberium for Keap or ActiveCampaign?
The editions are separate products, and the older ones aren't going away. If you're on Keap or ActiveCampaign and considering a move, start with User Tags to see how the tag model differs, then talk to support about your specific setup before planning a migration. The closer your site sticks to tags and memberships, the easier any future move becomes.
Features
Will Torii have the same features as the Keap and ActiveCampaign editions?
Torii started with the core, contacts, tags, memberships, and content protection, and builds outward from there. Some things the older editions grew over a decade, like built-in e-commerce and affiliate handling, are handled differently here: WooCommerce integration covers selling and automated access, and features get added based on what customers actually use. If something specific is holding you back, tell us.
What integrations are available?
LearnDash, Elementor, and WooCommerce are the deep integrations, covering courses, page building, and selling. A wider set is documented under Integrations, and CRM connectors cover HighLevel, Keap, ActiveCampaign, and others.
Are Group Accounts supported?
Yes. Group Accounts (called Umbrella Accounts in the older editions) lets one parent account own and manage a set of member seats. See Group Accounts.
What about custom values in HighLevel?
They sync, and you can display them anywhere with the [memb_ghl_custom_value] shortcode. Custom values are account-level fields in HighLevel, set once and reused everywhere; the shortcode and the sync details are on its reference page.
Are there design templates?
Not currently. Torii works with your theme and your page builder rather than shipping its own skins, and Elementor's visibility controls integrate directly. If starter templates would help you, that's useful feedback to send.
Is multi-site or snapshot support available?
Not yet. Agencies managing many client sites are the main reason it's wanted, and that's the lens any future support will be designed around. For now, each site is its own install with its own connections.
Building with Torii
Can I build client portals with Torii?
Yes, and it's one of the better uses. HighLevel's native client portal is thin on customization; a WordPress site with Torii gives each client a login, a protected space, and content you control completely, while the CRM side keeps the relationship data. Group Accounts fit naturally here when a single client means multiple seats.
What kinds of membership sites work well with Torii?
Certification programs and course sites (especially with LearnDash), coaching and training programs, health and wellness sites, community memberships, wholesale and B2B sites with protected pricing through WooCommerce, and client portals for agencies. If access decisions are the heart of the site, Torii is built for it.
Support
What data does the plugin send off my site?
None about your members. Two outbound calls (a license check and an update check) send system information (site URL, admin email, version numbers, user count) to Web Power and Light's US servers, and cannot be disabled while licensed. No usage statistics, no error reports, no monitoring. Full detail, including field-by-field tables and the GDPR-relevant positions, is on Data Handling.
How do I provide feedback or feature requests?
Email support@webpowerandlight.com. During a young product's life, feedback goes straight to the people building it, and the requests that keep coming back are the ones that get built.
