LifterLMS

Membership-driven course access. LifterLMS levels map to your tags, so access decisions stay in one place.

LifterLMS has its own membership levels built in, which is convenient until you run a site where the LMS is one part of a bigger membership. Then you are maintaining access in two places: LifterLMS levels for the courses, and your real membership system for everything else, with occasional arguments between them.

The integration demotes LifterLMS's own levels and lets your tags decide. Course access, lesson visibility, and enrollment all follow the tags your automations already manage. The LMS becomes another room in the same building instead of a second building next door.

That keeps the selling side simple. A checkout in your CRM applies a tag; the buyer walks into the course. An expiry removes the tag; the door locks. Nothing about the LifterLMS authoring experience changes, so courses you have already built keep working.

Shortcodes add per-member awareness to pages: check enrollment or completion for the person viewing, and adapt the page to them.
